i have calculated the wind pressure by using UBC 97 and it was equal to 0.50 kn\m2
how to calculate the wind pressures for each floors using IDECAD ?

Hello,

If your floor height is the same on all floors, you must multiply by calculating the façade areas for the 0.5 and x and y directions. Then divide the force you find by the number of stories. Enter the value you find in the wind section in the analysis settings tab.

But we have problem with TBDY 2018 and wind analysis. We recommend that you analyze the model in version 8.62.

Hi Ammer,

Wind loads(W) can be acted as "total lateral forces" to rigid diaphrams for each stories on x and y directions of structure. If your 0.50 kn/m2 is total wind load of windward+ leeward pressure for your project.

Wind load for 4 metres story on x direction= 17 * 0.5 * 4 =34 KN
Wind load for 3.5 metres story on x direction= 17 * 0.5 * 3.5 = 29.75 KN

Wind load for 4 metres story on y direction= 45* 0.5 * 4 =90 KN
Wind load for 3.5 metres story on y direction= 45 * 0.5 * 3.5 =78.75 KN

You need to input these values as positive values on each story.

ideCAD considers windload results as combanations, which are:
G+ 1.3Q + 1.3W
G+ 1.3Q - 1.3W
0.9G + 1.3W
0.9G - 1.3W


Combanations are created according to TS500

you may see windload results in any element's reinforments dialog.
